DeMail is an Android email app published by deapps.studio (Vršac, Serbia) that lets you read and manage your Gmail inbox. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. In short: DeMail talks directly to Google on your device, and the developer does not collect, receive or store your emails or personal data.
When you sign in with Google, DeMail asks for one permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify. It is needed to show your inbox and to let you change the state of your messages. Through it the app accesses:
DeMail does not read attachments, does not access your contacts, and does not send emails on your behalf. It collects no other personal data such as your location, device identifiers or contacts.
The information above is used only to provide the app's features: showing your inbox and applying the actions you choose. Requests go directly from your phone to Google's Gmail API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. DeMail has no servers of its own, so your emails never pass through the developer.
On your device, the app keeps your emails in memory while it is running and a single "signed in" setting so it can sign you in again at the next launch. The access token issued by Google is held in memory only and is not written to storage.
DeMail does not sell, rent, share or transfer your data to anyone. It contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party trackers, and your email content is never used for advertising, profiling or to train any AI or machine-learning model.
DeMail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Gmail data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy, and no human reads your email data.
All communication with Google uses HTTPS, and sign-in is handled by Google's own authorization screen, so DeMail never sees your Google password. Because the developer stores nothing, there is no developer-held copy of your data to retain or delete.
You are in control:
Actions you take in DeMail (archive, spam, delete, read/unread) are applied to your Gmail account and can also be undone in Gmail.
DeMail is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same address with a new "Last updated" date.
